Senior Backend developer (Python)

Position Overview

We’re hiring a Senior Back-End Developer to design and maintain mission-critical backend services. You’ll focus on building APIs, optimizing databases, and ensuring reliable deployment pipelines, collaborating closely with AI engineers to deliver scalable solutions. If you’re passionate about clean code, distributed systems, and solving complex infrastructure challenges, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

API & Service Development:

– Design and build high-performance REST APIs using FastAPI, with documentation via Swagger/OpenAPI.

– Implement authentication, rate limiting, and security protocols (TLS/SSL, OAuth2).

– Optimize endpoints for low-latency AI/ML inference integration.

Database & System Architecture:

– Architect scalable database solutions using PostgreSQL, pgvector (for vector search), and Qdrant (vector database).

– Optimize queries, indexing, and caching for high-throughput applications.

– Design fault-tolerant microservices with Docker and Docker Compose.

DevOps & Deployment:

– Automate CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins) for seamless deployments.

– Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure) with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).

– Monitor system health using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.

Collaboration:

– Partner with AI engineers to integrate models into production workflows (e.g., via FastEmbed or vLLM).

– Mentor junior developers and advocate for best practices in code quality and system design.

Required Skills

Core Backend Expertise:

– ۵+ years of experience with Python and frameworks like FastAPI or Django.

– Proficiency in PostgreSQL, including query optimization and indexing strategies.

– Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and API design.

DevOps & Cloud:

– Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).

– Familiarity with CI/CD tools and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).

– Knowledge of TLS/SSL and API security best practices.

Tools & Collaboration:

– Experience with vector databases (pgvector, Qdrant) is a plus.

– Basic understanding of AI/ML workflows (e.g., model deployment) to collaborate with AI teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

– Experience with real-time systems (WebSocket, message brokers like Kafka/RabbitMQ).

– Familiarity with MCP server design for scalable compute tasks.

– Knowledge of performance optimization (caching with Redis, load balancing).

– Exposure to AI tooling (FastWhisper, vLLM) as a backend integrator.
